Love Minecraft? Get the next update free with Windows 10

Windows 10 is out today and it’s a free upgrade for your computer if you’re already using Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.

This might sweeten the deal even more: If you already own Minecraft for Mac or PC, you’ll get a free copy of the new and improved version by upgrading to Windows 10

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition is a beta version of a new experience. It’s a completely separate version of the game that supports Xbox Live, controller support, game recording and multiplayer with Pocket Edition players.

To get the new version, you’ll just need to head to the Windows Store while using Windows 10.

To get it, you’ll need to log in to your Mojang account and click the ‘redeem’ button to get your code. From there, you’ll get the new and improved version of Minecraft. You can’t redeem the offer on any other version of Windows, so make sure you upgrade first.
