Apple confirms October 22 event with press invites: “We still have a lot to cover”

The rumors were true – Apple has started sending out invites for a media event on October 22, which is widely thought to be the launch of the next generation of iPad and iPad Minis.

As All Things D reports, the event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco, which Apple has used a lot previously for big announcements.

Apple announcements tend to roll around at about the same time every year, and this time the rumormill suggests Apple will unveil updates to its tablets, though OS X Mavericks and a new Mac should also get a look-in. Certainly, the invite itself falls short of confirming any of these things, and instead says: “We Still Have a Lot to Cover.”:
