With photo0-editing applications amongst some of the most popular downloads on Apple’s App Store, you may have come into contact or used a powerful iOS app called Snapseed.
If you’re a Snapseed user or like to add new textures, filters, make modifications to your photos and also happen to be a Mac user, you might be pleased to know that software developer Nik Software will soon launch Snapseed on the Mac App Store.
Designed exclusively for the Mac, Snapseed will bring its full collecting of filters, textures and tools, allowing users to utilise the U Point technology embedded within to selectively enhance selected areas of a photo. Snapseed allows users to make one click-adjustments to their photos, with all modifications processed in real-time.
Instagram users will be familiar with Snapseed’s Grunge, Vintage, Tilt & Shift, and Drama filters but the app will launch with more than that. The Mac app delivers a ‘Tune Image’ feature that can quickly correct photos in low-light conditions, add depth and vibrancy with ambience or adjust the white balance, saturation and contrast.
Users an also add frames, give their photos a classic look with black and white filers and adding styles, grains, vignettes and more. When the editing is finished, photos can be instantly shared to Facebook, Flickr, via email or print from within the app.
Snapseed will be compatible with Mac OS 10.6.8 and 10.7.2 and later. It will available to download on Mac App Store for $19.99 later this month.

LikeI work at Nik Software, and the preview I saw was superb, quick and easy yet amazing professional results, with more brilliant presets than on the iPad and iPhone versions.

YESSSSS! YESSSS!!!! I LOVE Snapseed because it's less about the funky filters, and more about the temperature, depth, etc of the picture. Basically it's everything that Camera+ isn't. You can really edit your photos to YOUR terms, and not with what a developer THINKS you should use.
