Shuddering at the thought of paying for that new iPhone 4S? Shudder no more. Apple, via its Reuse and Recycle program, is offering up to $200 for your old iPhone 4, depending on its condition:

Mind you, the iPhone in question here is a white, 16 gig model in perfect condition. If you happen to have a black one, that will net you $180. When you figure that the new iPhone 4S is available starting at $199 on 2-year contract, that’s really impressive.

A tip of the hat to @NickStarr for the heads up.

LikeI checked out the iPhone buying sites mentioned in CNET and just got offered $314 by cashforiphones.com for my iPhone 4 32GB AT&T. Pretty enticing but when I read the online reviews, it appears that there isn’t much of a difference between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S except for Siri, the chip, the camera and the antenna…

LikeI think it's probably better to sell it privately on online sites like eBay..you would get more than that, no? (at least we will, in Australia)

LikeNow that the iPhone 4S has a better antenna, I’m kissing my iPhone 4’s death grip goodbye. I checked out the offers for an iPhone 4 32G Verizon in mint condition and here’s what I got: $268 (Cash for iPhones), $204 (Gazelle) and $250 (Totem). Will definitely sell mine to the actual top bidder. So excited to see how Siri will blow my mind!
