In the UK? You can trial eBay’s personalised fashion recommendations right now.

eBay has announced that it’s tapping online fashion personalization service Dressipi in the UK, to launch a six month trial that will see Dressipi’s technology integrated directly into eBay’s Fashion Gallery.

Dressipi is a London-based fashion startup that offers a personal style guide, fashion tips and advice, with female users inputting their vital statistics and answering questions about their tastes. This resulting fashion fingerprint is then used to narrow down the selection of clothes. The technology is already in use or on trial with a number of online clothing retailers.

Integrating Dressipi with eBay’s UK site will offer shoppers two levels of recommendations – a curated selection of clothes, shoes and accessories selected from Dressipi’s team; Or, for those who choose to complete the so-called fashion fingerprint assessment, Dressipi’s technology will personalise those recommendations too.
