IFTTT, a platform that can automate a wide range of actions across a huge number of services and devices, announced some new ‘recipes’ for Twitter today, thereby allowing you to keep track of content and users across the social network with even less effort.
Among the new recipes is an option to search for new tweets containing a specific hashtag and return all the results to a spreadsheet or Slack, and you can also now do things like get a notification whenever a specific user tweets, or when a specific person mentions you.
Also new here are the options to blink your Philips Hue lights when you’re mentioned on Twitter or change your Android wallpaper to the Twitter logo with each mention.
Rounding off the pre-made recipes are a couple of location based ones which essentially allow you to receive a digest of tweets posted within a certain area.
