File this one under “Just in case you were wondering”. Logan Warren decided to put his Starbucks Rewards card to good use. After earning his free cup, he waltzed in to a store and decided to get the most asinine jug of coffee-esque liquid you could make from the place. The result? A 31-ounce Java Chip Frappuccino, with loads of extras.
According to Warren, the gut-busting glass contains the following:
- 16 shots of espresso
- 1 shot of soy milk
- Caramel syrup
- Banana puree
- Strawberry puree
- Vanilla beans
- Matcha powder
- Protein powder
- Caramel drizzle
Warren says that the total for the drink, with all additions, came up to $23.60 and contains as much as 1,400 mg of caffeine. While Warren states that two of them would kill him, science says otherwise. Typically speaking, a 160 lb person would require 13,824 mg of caffeine to reach a fatal dose. Though Wikipedia says that some folks have died with complications from a mere 2,000 mg.
Ah yes, excess. You sir are doing it right. Oh, and for those wondering, you could save considerable money and order a Short Cappuccino. But it’s not on the menu.
