CHEAP: At $185, this Samsung Chromebook 3 is more than half off

It’s always nice when something a bit overpriced becomes… well… cheap. Take the Samsung Chromebook 3, for example. Would I pay $399 for this? Absolutely not. But drop that price down to $185, and I’ll start throwing wads of cash in your face so fast, you’ll think you’ve got a new job as an exotic dancer.

Chromebooks are great laptops for the most basic computing tasks, from casually scrolling through your Facebook News Feed, to buying stuff online. They’re simple, secure, and they don’t require much thought.

The Samsung Chromebook 3 is a decent little laptop. At 11 inches, it can easily be thrown in a rucksack or satchel without taking up much room. It’s got a decent array of ports (2 USB, 1 HDMI, and 1 MicroSD), allowing you to connect it to a monitor and peripherals, for the times when you need to do some serious work. And with 32GB of storage, you can even dual-boot it into Linux, extending its utility further.

In terms of specs, it’s got 4GB of RAM and an Intel Celeron N3060 dual-core processor, so it shouldn’t be too much of a slouch. The only real downside is the display isn’t 1080p rated, with a resolution of just 1366 x 768. That’s the biggest Achilles heel of this computer.

But if you look past that, the Samsung Chromebook 3 is a great potential secondary computer, or could be a cheap machine for a teenager looking for something to do homework on. If you’re quick, you can grab one on Amazon for $185. That’s a discount of 54 percent off the current list price.

And I mean quick, because at the time of writing, Amazon is only showing one laptop in stock. And let’s face it. Nobody likes waiting.
