For those of us who have grown up on Windows computers, countless hours have been wasted playing this fixture of 8-bit computer gaming.  Now, as you are adding to your ever-growing list of essential iPhone apps, you’ll need to add Minesweeper.

Just like old times, you have 3 levels of play: easy, medium and hard.  While the touch interface isn’t exactly ideal for trying to get precise boxes in the Hard mode, it’s still acceptable.

Beat your old score?  Want to see how you’re doing on a global leaderboard?  You can do that.  Minesweeper has integrated sharing with Facebook and Twitter, as well as the PlayMesh network.

You can grab Minesweeper by itself, or by getting the All-In-1 pack from PlayMesh.
