Loverly launches on iPhone to let you plan your wedding on the move

Loverly launches on iPhone to let you plan your wedding on the move

Following its site redesign and rebrand, Loverly, a New York-based service which lets you discover and save wedding ideas, is heading to the iPhone.

Over the past year, Loverly has matured from its status as a “Pinterest for Weddings,” and moving to mobile is an important piece of this puzzle. 30% Of Loverly’s visitors browse the site on a mobile device (80% of which run iOS), and so there’s a clear benefit in actually catering to these users.

Beyond simply making the service significantly easier to browse on the iPhone, the app adds an important feature into the mix: it lets users take and save photos of noteworthy items and locations, which, as Lovely describes, “can then be stored and shared with a select group, such as bridesmaids or family members.”

The goal, according to CEO Kellee Khalil, is to “simplify the overwhelming wedding planning process.”

In the new app, there’s an overwhelming sense of organization. The design packs nearly every feature found on the site — with the noteworthy absence of shopping options — but manages to stay extremely clean, letting the pictures stand out above all else. It’s plain to see that the recent site redesign was made with mobile in mind, as it’s quite easy to move back and forth between the two.

The app’s simplicity make it difficult to elaborate on. It’s a joy to use — and this is coming from someone not even remotely involved in the wedding space.
