The trailer for Robin Williams’ final movie ‘Absolutely Anything’ is premiering on Snapchat

Snapchat is fast becoming the place entertainment executives turn to when they want a novel way of pushing new product. Remember Madonna premiering her video on the service?

Now, the trailer for Robin Williams’ final movie, ‘Absolutely Anything‘, is getting its first airing via the app. It’ll debut on MTV’s Snapchat Discover UK account on May 2, for one day only.

The film was directed by Terry Jones and stars Simon Pegg as a school teacher who discovers he has magical powers. In the process, he gives his dog Dennis (voiced by Williams), the power of speech and rational thought.

While it’s definitely another coup for Snapchat to get the trailer exclusive, scenes from the movie are already online, like this one published by Deadline Hollywood:
