Snapchat is today introducing a way to ship you news content: Discover.
Instead of being dictated by clicks and shares like most news features on social media, Discover’s ‘editions’ are curated by a variety of editorial teams, including National Geographic, Vice, Daily Mail, ESPN and others. Snapchat says it’s looking to put “the narrative first” rather than be a popularity show
Content is customized for each edition, including full screen photos and videos, long form layouts and “gorgeous advertising.”
In true Snapchat form, editions refresh after 24 hours. It wouldn’t be a Snapchat feature if it wasn’t temporary, right?
