Video management software and services firm KIT digital this morning announced that its board of directors has agreed to delist the company from the Prague Stock Exchange and move its headquarters from Prague to New York City.

It will maintain a technology and development center in the Czech capital and continue to list its shares on the NASDAQ Global Select market.

KIT digital offers a cloud-based video asset management system that enables enterprise, media and network operator clients to produce, manage and deliver multiscreen video experiences.

The company has been extremely acquisitive over the years (it has bought companies like Kyte, KickApps, Kewego, Brickbox, The Feedroom, among others).

KIT digital says it services nearly 2,500 clients in 50+ countries, including major brands like Google, AT&T, BBC, HP, MTV, News Corp and Universal Studios.

The company also just announced that it has hired former ATARI CFO Fabrice Hamaide as its new head of finance. Hamaide, who has been a financial advisor to the company since May 2012, will be based in New York.

Earlier this year, KIT digital founder Kaleil Isaza Tuzman stepped down as chief executive officer to assume the role of chairman.

Barak Bar-Cohen, formerly the company’s chief administrative officer, assumed the role of interim CEO while KIT digital looks for a permanent head honcho.
