US-based cab service Uber has announced that its mobile offerings are extending beyond iOS and Android with the launch of a new mobile-friendly site, at m.uber.com.
“We’re excited to announce that our latest product, m.uber.com has been built with love and care for BlackBerry, Windows Phone and beyond,” said the company in an announcement today. “We want to make the Uber experience available to everyone, regardless of phone or carrier. That’s why we’ve introduced mobile Web requests to let you request an Uber at any time from any phone.”
We reported last year that the private car-booking service has taken the US by storm and was planning to expand to 25 new cities within the next 14 months. And we later revealed that the service will be arriving in London by the time of the London Olympics this summer, followed by Asia later this year.
The new mobile-friendly site will of course work across any mobile platform, but if you’re on iOS or Android, you might be better off with the native apps.
Here’s what you’ll see when you hit the site:
When you make requests, you will also be able to save favorite locations for places you request most often, such as your home or work.
