TV is in the early stages of an online revolution, and the MIPCube conference in Cannes, France later this month is set to highlight the innovations taking place across the television industry. One part of the event that we’re particularly looking forward to is TV Hack Day.
Organised by the well-respected Rewired State organisation, TV Hack Day will bring together creative technologists explore the next generation of social TV-related apps by harnessing a wide variety of APIs.
What will they come up with? That’s the fun of hack days, and we’ll take great pleasure in picking out the highlights for you just as we have at other hack day events in the past. Just to make this one a little different and more fun, it’s taking place on a boat docked next to the show venue itself, kitted out with WiFi, beds, food and drink.
Judges for TV Hack Day will include YouTube’s Joe McDermottroe, and Allen DeBevoise, Chairman, CEO and Co-founder of Machinima.
The Hack Day is part of MIPCube’s two-day exploration of the future of TV, and The Next Web will be on hand to cover everything you need to know. If you’d like to be there too, you can get 35% off MIPCube registration (both full and startup rates) with the code THENEXTWEB here: http://bit.ly/registerformipcube.
Hopefully we’ll see you there!
