Finding that old post you once saw on Tumblr can be difficult if you don’t remember when it was published. You’ll have a bit of an easier time now – the platform has been updated with a search filter to show you only certain types of entries.

Whereas you used to only be able to find posts on a user’s archive by their published month, you can now filter them by type: text, photo, quote, link, chat, audio or video.

To access the feature, you hover over a user’s avatar and select “Archive” from the dropdown menu. Once there, you’ll see the sorting options.

With the hundreds of post available on Tumblr, this should streamline the process of finding the ones you’re looking for.
