There are
only 43 days left until TNW Conference! Yesterday, I shared the official festival map with you. Get up close to see all the details by zooming in.

The map shows off all the venues, stages, and activities to enjoy. Many of them are completely unique to this year’s conference, so let’s get into all the amazing new stuff we can expect from TNW2019!

Shiny new things

Here at the office, we’ve been working around the clock to bring in new features that’ll knock your socks off. In terms of content, we have two new tracks that bring in a whole new aspect to the conversation on tech. We’ve partnered with The Next Women to host a one-day summit about female empowerment. Through women-led roundtables and keynotes, we’ll talk about the future of tech and share inspiring stories.

We’ve also partnered with Financial Times to create the Trade track, which focuses on the business of change and features speakers from Shell, Philips, and more. They’ll even have their own dome where the track will take place!

On top of that, I’d like to bring your attention back to the ferris wheel. I know I’ve fixated on this quite a bit, but that’s because I’m extremely excited! I love heights, and good views – this will provide both. It’s 30 meters in diameter and can carry up to 1,150 people an hour.

We’ll also have our very own beach restaurant. Pllek is situated on the festival terrain, where you can have morning coffee meetings with a stunning waterfront view. It even has a beach, so forget the coffee – let’s just go straight to the white wine.

Speaker spotlight: Sandy Fershee

Sandy Fershee has over 20 years of UX experience, working with companies like Google, Johnson & Johnson, Samsung, and Ford. Her passion stems from her cultural anthropology studies – she’s always been curious about understanding people’s differing needs and behaviors.

At Ford, she has built the UX branch from scratch. The team transforms how the company designs by introducing a human-centred approach to the company.

At TNW2019, Sandy will discuss the transformative ideas she’s brought to some of the biggest companies in the world. Don’t miss her speak to learn more about how UX will continue to impact how we interact with the world around us!
