Tech conferences may often list ‘royalty’ amongst their attendees, but it’s usually ‘tech royalty’ – maybe some founder of successful startups or a true pioneer in their field. At The Next Web Conference Europe 2013, we’re going better than that, by welcoming actual royalty to our event.
We’re proud to announce that His Royal Highness Willem-Alexander of Orange will open proceedings on Thursday, April 25th.
Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten, founder of The Next Web and moderator of The Next Web Conference says: “We are very proud that we can welcome His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange to our event. I had the honor of meeting with the Prince a few times now and we share the same interests and optimism for the future and the role of technology in improving our world. I’m delighted that the Prince will be our guest at our event so we can show him which exciting technologies are being discussed and developed.”
In addition to attending a top European tech conference, the Prince is on the advisory board of the ECP, an organization that puts the social and economic impact of information and computer technology on politics, government and industry.
The Next Web Conference Europe takes place on 25-26 April 2013 in Amsterdam and tickets are available now. See you there!
