One of the best ways to get your foot in the door here at The Next Web is by interning with us. Not only does it give you the chance to see behind the scenes, but we’ll even pay you for your time while you’re gaining valuable job experience with an international publishing brand. Right now, the opportunity has come knocking again and we’re looking for an intern (or maybe even two!) for TNW Academy.
TNW Academy is our education arm, focusing on providing a way for amazing instructors to reach audiences via an online platform. These 1 to 2 hour courses typically provide high-level overviews of subject matter from a variety of topics, and we’re branching in more directions every day. We see TNW Academy as a way for people to get world-class education, regardless of where in the world they might be.
As an intern for TNW Academy, you would help with every step of the process. From gathering potential speakers to assisting in the running of our classes, you’ll be in a position to make a name for yourself and to get your work noticed. We’ll be highly selective in our hiring process, however, as it’s not unheard of for an intern to eventually join our staff full time. Just ask TNW editor Nick Summers.
Now for the bullet list —
What You’ll Get:
- Valuable, real-world experience in a startup environment
- Business connections that you will use for life
- A modest paycheck
What You’ll Bring:
- 15 to 20 hours per week, US daytime preferred
- Perfect English, both written and spoken
- A solid, reliable Internet connection
TNW is a fully-remote workforce, so your physical location in this world is of zero concern for this position. Just make sure that you can work during the hours that we need and beyond that, you can do so from the beach as long as your Internet connection is stable. Additionally, if you have experience with Photoshop, make sure to tell us about it in the form. It will come in handy.
So what are you waiting for? Fill out the application and let’s help make the world a smarter place.
