I love feature-rich apps like the next person, especially foursquare’s latest version, which turns all of our check-ins into a magical cornucopia of exploration. But sometimes, I just want to freakin’ check-in.
We found a really cool app called Checkie that does just that. There are no frills when it comes to this iOS app, and it’s quite handy when you’re on the move.
Once you open up the app and allow it to check your location, you’re simply presented with all of the places that are near you. You can search too if you like. All you need to do is tap on the venue once and you’re checked in.
That’s it, there are no other bells and whistles to deal with. It’s actually the perfect compliment to the foursquare experience, consider it “foursquare light.”
