The Simple Bracket iPhone app will keep you sane during March Madness

The Simple Bracket iPhone app will keep you sane during March Madness

If you haven’t filled out your bracket for the annual NCAA March Madness basketball extravaganza, you’ll want to check out the Simple Bracket iPhone app from Studio Neat.

We dribbled with the developers, who were responsible for the Glif tripod mount and Cosmonaut stylus, when they first launched the app’s Kickstarter project last month. Funding turned out to be successful and now it’s live in the App Store for $0.99.

The app includes achievements and a scoring system built with the help of mathematician Ted Gooley. We’re also big fans of the interface and its presentation.

Simple Bracket makes use of Twitter to connect you with fellow bracketeers. I’m guessing most of you already have a Twitter account, but the requirement is going to be a bummer for some users, as plenty of family members and friends might not. On the other hand, maybe this is a good excuse to get them to sign up.

Keeping track of brackets and scoring is usually one of the most infuriating things about March Madness, but Studio Neat has made things easier. Now if only it could help you pick the winner so you could get the jump on your mates.
