If you haven’t seen the photos at Gizmodo about Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt having coffee in Palo Alto take a look at them now. The photos aren’t that exciting except that they are. After all, here are two of the most powerful CEOs in Silicon Valley who were supposedly not on speaking terms anymore since Google launched the Android and started competing with Apple.
Some people are complaining that we are making too much of this. Of course Steve and Eric can have a coffee anytime they want. But in public, like this? You just can’t help but wonder what these guys were discussing and why they were doing it in public, like this.
