UK supermarket retailer Tesco has launched its own budget 7-inch Android-based tablet that will retail for just £119, putting pressure on other budget tablet makers by bringing a household name to the table.
Core specs of the budget device include a 1.5GHz quad core processor, 7-inch (1440 x 900 pixels) HD display, 16GB of on board storage and a claimed 9-hour battery life.
Under-the-bonnet there’s Android 4.2.2, so you’ll get access to the usual Google Play Market, as well as shortcuts to Tesco’s own services, allowing you to do things like check your account status or place an order.
