Spotify is going to start rewarding loyal bastions of its music service by giving away codes for free premium membership, official Spotify merchandise and the chance to get early access to new builds of the software.
The new Rock Star reward program launched yesterday and has been designed to recognize the most loyal Spotify users for helping others in the community and generally being a good egg.
However, before becoming a Rock Star, you’ll first need to be a Rising Star – achieved by helping the community and levelling up. Once you’re a Rising Star, existing Rock Stars show you the ropes and help you come to terms with your new status. Then, every three months, Spotify will “look at which Rising Stars are blowing it up” and promote them to Rock Star status.
