This song search engine must be stopped!

At first blush I thought that SecondHandSongs was a creative new super-niche song search engine. What does it do? It searches for any hit song as it was later sung or “covered” by other performers.

But then when I tried it out, the results were disastrous.

This is what happened. I searched for “Mandy” by Barry Manilow, truly one of the greatest pop songs of our time, maybe of all time. I then hit search (Oh that I had not!) and it listed the other “artists” who later sang that song.

And there it was. A rendition of Mandy by Donny Osmond here. You can check it out, but I must advise you not to. Try another search; leave a comment!
