Silicon Valley startup: JustSpotted on how spotting celebrities converts into revenue [video]

Celebrity is big business these days -one Tweet from Ashton Kutcher gets you lots of traffic. Silicon Valley based startup JustSpotted is a celebrity-tracking tool to give fans an idea of what their favorite celebrities are up to at any given moment. The site aggregates the latest sightings, tweets, status updates, news articles & blog posts from all over the web for thousands of celebrities around the world.

The service launched in October 2010 founded by AJ Asver, Dilan Jarawardane and Benjamin Tauber. JustSpotted was an evolution of the technology they built for Scoopler, the real time search engine that launched in 2009 and got backing from Y Combinator, Ron Conway, Michael Birch, Avalon Ventures, and a few others.

I visited the JustSpotted offices in Soma and chatted to AJ Asver to ask about how their business model works and find out their plans for expansion beyond celebrity.
