Samsung’s 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 4 isn’t its only new product headed for the sales aisles soon — the Korean company just revealed that its Gear S smartwatch is headed to the US this fall, though it isn’t being specific with the dates.
In a brief note, Samsung said the device, which is notable for being its first smartwatch that doesn’t need to be paired to a smartphone or tablet, will be available via AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, and of course unlocked.
As with the Note 4 launch dates, Samsung isn’t spilling all the details for now. The Gear S will hit the US market a long time before the Apple Watch — which isn’t due until next year — and in time for the Christmas shopping period, of course.
