Samsung and Google unwrap Ice Cream Sandwich on October 19th…in Hong Kong

Samsung and Google unwrap Ice Cream Sandwich on October 19th…in Hong Kong

We’ve just gotten an email that verifies the new date for the rescheduled Samsung/Google event, which was initially set to have been held this week at CTIA in San Diego. According to the release:

“The Samsung/Google media event has been rescheduled to take place on October 19 in Hong Kong, China at S221 Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.”

We had, at first, gotten confirmation from a reliable source that the two were set to do an event in the UK on the 27th of this month, but it now appears that the event in the UK will (at any rate) not be for the same reason.

It appears that Samsung and Google understand that not many people from other parts of the world are going to make it to Hong Kong on 6 days notice, so the event will be live streamed. We here at TNW Mobile will be keeping an eye on things, and of course letting you know all of the information as it unfolds.
