Angry Birds has been edging further away from its original game-offerings for a while already, branching out into Star Wars-centric titles, theme parks, movies and everything you’ve come to expect from a franchise.
Now, Rovio has revealed more details about its upcoming kart-racing game Angry Birds Go!, publishing the first proper video (this doesn’t count) which reveals a huge departure from what we’ve come to expect from the Angry Birds series. We’d go as far to say this looks more like Mario Kart than something Rovio might release, but either way it looks impressive.
Also, we now know that Angry Birds Go! will be hitting Google Play and the App Store globally on December 11. Just in time for Christmas, when Rovio and all its franchise partners can cash in with a myriad of themed toys.
