Report: 41% of connected devices in South Korea are phablets, compared to 7% worldwide

Well-respected mobile app analytics firm Flurry has just released a deep dive report on the Korean mobile market, and it makes for fascinating reading.

Among the nuggets is a chart which shows that — according to Flurry analytics — 41 percent of smartphones and tablets in Korea are phablets, i.e. smartphones that are between 5 and 7-inches in length. That’s compared to a global average of just 7 percent.

There are plenty of other interesting stats and trends about Korea, including that Apple holds an improved 14 percent market share. That’s not at all bad considering Korea is Samsung’s homeland.
