A remastered version of Grim Fandango is coming exclusively to PS4 and PS Vita

Sony just took a massive victory at its E3 2014 press conference today after it announced a remake of the classic LucasArts game Grim Fandango.

Few other details were given about the project, although it was confirmed the title – originally led by Tim Schafer, now co-founder of Double Fine Productions – will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The retro title was first released in 1998 and is now considered to be a classic by many in the video game industry. It probably won’t sell a monumental number of copies, but it’s another signal that Sony’s PlayStation 4 is a console “for the players” – a reputation it’s keen to maintain.
