Afridi built the idea as a Chrome Extension first before offering it as a website as well at the urging of Product Hunt founder Ryan Hoover.
Hoover’s Product Hunt Year in Review post notes that over 11k products have been posted to the site in 2014, so ProductHop has arrived at just the right time. It’ll be especially useful for seeing how ideas have developed since their first brush with fame on the site.
