Japan sure knows how to put new technology to good use. Local pornographic producer with the wildly misleading name Soft on Demand has opened a new location in Tokyo where visitors can rent a private room to surf the internet, read manga… and watch porn in virtual reality.

Situated in the district of Akihabara famous for its strong cultural affinity with video games and anime, the dedicated porn chambers will provide customers with adult content in various forms as well as with a PC setup that supports watching porn in VR.

According to Akiba PC Hotline, Soft on Demand is currently running its grand opening campaign which gives visitors a limited window of opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of VR porn free of charge before the establishment starts charging for the booths on an hourly basis.

In addition to previously mentioned features, the rooms come with a clean ‘fulfilling environment’ and fully soundproof walls – in case things start getting loud.

Renting out the chamber for one hour will cost you approximately $4.70 (550 yen), but you can also opt to spend an entire day there for $26.90 (3,150 yen).

Soft on Demand isn’t the first company that has attempted to build on the hotel experience with the addition of VR porn.

Last year, adult content producer VR Bangers announced its plans to launch an immersive X-rated service that uses cutting-edge mapping technologies to render your room inside VR and turn it into a virtual porn set.

In case you want to try out Soft on Demand’s dedicated erotic chambers, you better head out now: Japan tends to get excited about porn attractions pretty quickly.
