Pocket for Mac updated with native Twitter and Facebook support and improved Evernote sharing

One month after launching on the Mac, view later service Pocket has released its first update (v1.1) to the Mac App Store, featuring native Twitter and Facebook support for Mountain Lion users and “rebuilt” Evernote sharing.

So far, Pocket has done quite well on the Mac — the company has held its place in the top 10 category for free apps since launch. Version 1.1 is a rather incremental update, but should please heavy users of the app.

What’s New

On par with the native Twitter support, Pocket for Mac now supports sharing to multiple Twitter accounts. As for Evernote, Pocket is touting improvements that make tagging, commenting and authentication easier.

In addition, Pocket has added new keyboard shortcuts for opening items in the background and toggling between Home, Favorites, Archive, and Content Type. Evernote users in China will also now be able to use the app.

These updates are accompanied by a number of fixes:

  • Pocket now automatically downloads all items after login
  • Printing works
  • Items no longer disappear when new ones are saved
  • Dock badge count now updates in real-time, and is hidden when the count is zero
  • Crash when logging into certain accounts. If you had trouble logging in, please try again after upgrading

Mac users can download the new release immediately via the link below. For TNW’s full review of Pocket for Mac, head here.
