Angry Birds gamers with Android smartphones will soon be able to enjoy the insanely popular game without obtrusive in-app adverts after games developers Rovio took to Twitter to confirm an ad-free version of the game was almost ready.
Rovio’s Twitter message came in response to a number of questions on whether a paid-app was nearing release, stating “give us another month and we’ll be there”:
Angry Birds has surpassed the 50 million download mark worldwide and is now available on smartphones, the Mac App Store and also on Windows PC’s.
Rovio’s Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka recently announced that Angry Birds users across the world now spend a cumulative 200 hours playing the game every day.
