Udemy has announced Udemy for Organizations, a new corporate training product that will let companies build a curriculum from the online education service’s existing course collections and create their own courses.
Dennis Yang, the company’s president and chief operating officer, said in a statement:
Because of the skills-based nature of Udemy’s content, people were already using our classes in a corporate environment to learn new skills to stay relevant in their jobs and careers. It was a natural evolution for us to create a secure, co-branded space for organizations to make these classes available to their employees and control the content employees can see, all using our proven platform.
Key features of the service that Udemy is touting include: self-paced learning, branding, custom courses, access to Udemy’s 7,000 courses and analytics. At launch, the company is waiving set-up and license fees, so companies will just pay standard course fees.
