Nvidia announced today the North American launch of Grid, its cloud gaming service, on November 18. The service is also scheduled to go live in Western Europe next month and Asia next year.
You’ll need a Nvidia Shield tablet or handheld to use the service, which is free until June 30, 2015. At launch, Grid will offer 20 games to players, including Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands 2 and Darksiders II.
In addition to a Shield device, you’ll also need a 10 Mbps Internet connection and a ping of 60ms or less to Grid servers, which are located on the East and West coast in the US. The beta version of the service was previously only available to users located near San Jose, CA.
Nvidia also revealed today that its Shield tablet will upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop on November 18.
