Noticed them? Native retweets showing up in your mentions?

The new retweets are still nowhere near as integrated as I’d like them to be and not quite as satisfying either. Frequently we’ll see a solid number of retweets on a post of ours but no easy way to discover who retweeted them in real time.

Old style retweets with the opportunity to comment alongside a tweet is something I know most twitter users love, but lets face it there is something satisfying about seeing RT @ at the beginning of a tweet your sending out or receiving…or is that just me?

Today it appears twitter has pushed an update that lets twitter clients include retweets as ‘mentions’. This has not been the case for as long as I have been using my app of choice Tweetdeck. We’re digging to check whether other clients have the same capabilities.

Update:

Tweetie and Seesmic is reportedly showing them too, on desktop and mobile and in the home stream. Safe to assume the feature is available on all twitter clients.
