WordPress has just announced WordPress 3.1.4, which includes a maintenance and security update for all previous versions.

WordPress says the new release incorporates several security fixes and hardening measures, particularly addressing one issue that could allow a malicious Editor-level user to gain further access to the site. Credit to WordPress developers Alexander Concha and Jon Cave who worked on the update.
