Microsoft will reveal its first Nokia-free Lumia on November 11

Microsoft’s first Lumia phone without Nokia-branding will be revealed on November 11. The company dropped the news in a sparse post on the Nokia Conversations blog with a peek at a corner of the new phone, the hashtag #MoreLumia and the instruction to check back next week.

The new Microsoft Lumia branding was revealed last month followed by a look at how the Microsoft logo will be splashed on the new devices. Details on the features of the first Microsoft-branded Lumia are still sketchy but a submission to Chinese regulators suggests it’ll have a 5in qHD display, 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

From the teaser shots, it seems the Microsoft Lumia will stick with the design we’ve become familiar with, just adding the Microsoft logo on the front underneath the earpiece and in a stripe on the back.

We’ll take a good look for any more substantial differences when the new Lumia is unveiled next week.
