Medium adds post scheduling and Twitter integration to help publications

Medium adds post scheduling and Twitter integration to help publications

Medium will now let publications schedule blogs, track Letters sent to readers and import Twitter followers to grow its audience.

Scheduling lets you create a specific date and time to publish a post, which will be great for all of those product announcements we have come to expect on Medium.

The new Connect to Twitter option for publications is much like the option individuals already have. If your publication has a dedicated Twitter following, you can now connect it to Twitter and migrate all of your followers as readers on Medium.

Connect to Twitter

Of course, that requires that those Twitter followers also have a Medium account.

Finally, publications can now view statistics on Letters sent to readers. If you don’t recall, Letters is essentially Medium’s homegrown newsletter feature, and publications can now track how many Letters were sent. It also tracks how many were opened, and how many readers clicked on the links in a Letter.

While the average blogger may not find these features too exciting, publications looking to house a blog may be enticed to take a hard look at Medium as a professional solution.
