Remember Curiosity, the rover we sent on a trip to Mars for a life of planetary exploration and solitude?
As it turns out, today marks his first birthday after spending a year on the red planet. After four years year of servitude, it has made more than 70,000 images and fired more than 75,000 lasers to check up on rock composition.
However, it has yet to find any sign of life.
Even though nobody showed up at its birthday party, the scientists behind the rover figured out a way to let it sing Happy Birthday to itself. The series of high-pitched bleeps traveled across the surface of the empty planet, heard by (probably) no one.
