With 3.4 Million users in India, LinkedIn started its operations in India with an enterprising plan. Now LinkedIn has its first local office at Bandra –Kurla complex, Mumbai. The press release quotes saying Hari V. Krishnan “We are focused on connecting all of India’s professionals to help them be more successful and productive,”.
To make it a bigger impact all over the country, LinkedIn has also announced a co-marketing agreement with Network18 that initially includes integration of business and finance content from Moneycontrol on LinkedIn and community-generated content from LinkedIn on CNBC-TV18.
This would be the first media partnership announced by LinkedIn to spread the awareness of the world’s largest professional network. With so many news related to LinkedIn and its growth, its evident to see how fast this professional networking website would grow. Offline and Online marketing via CNBC TV 18 could be the most strategic move for LinkedIn in regards with increasing the userbase at a tremendous and attractive rate.
We might see LinkedIn integration with various online job portal websites in future which means LinkedIn could have a high percentage of professionals singed up under them looking for jobs. This means a marvelous job by LinkedIn to connect billions of professional together under one platform that too hassle free. Expanding in India gives a wide scope of growth .
