Kickstarter breathes new life into old project pages with Spotlight

Kickstarter breathes new life into old project pages with Spotlight

Crowdfunding platforms have helped launch many a product, but what happens to campaigns after they’re over? Kickstarter wants to keep you coming to its site with a new feature called Spotlight.

Rather than remain a relic of a product’s pre-funded past, pages for successfully funded campaigns can now be converted into full-on product showcases.

This includes a number of editing tools, allowing you to use a large featured background image, add direct buy links or show off a timeline of a product’s past and future.

Of course, most successfully funded projects have dedicated homepages of their own, but a lot of people still refer to a project’s campaign page for news and information.

For Kickstarter, on the other hand, it help content more relevant, as well as drive more eyeballs to its site.
