Hey there everyone, we don’t cover games very often here on TNW (and don’t plan to), but today is a big, big day. It is more than big enough to bring you the news, because like it or not, you are being impacted by today’s happenings.
You see, Starcraft 2 came out today, and that means that nerds all over the world are playing the game instead of going to work, brushing their teeth, going to school, driving carefully, and so forth. The long awaited (12 years I do think) sequel to the original Starcraft has been “in the works” for so long that it has achieved mythical status.
All that and finally, finally, people can actually buy it. If leaked pre-order numbers were accurate, the game should be a smashing success.
So, if anyone at work today called in sick, but all you heard were explosions in the background while they left their “sniffle sniffle cough cough” message, have a caring heart, and cut them some slack. After all, there will only be one Starcraft 2 day ever, let them have fun.
No, if you will excuse me, I need to go, um, reformat my iPad.
