iPhone 5 pre-orders start September 14th, shipping to US, Canada, UK, France, Germany and others 9/21

The new iPhone 5 will maintain the same pricing as the iPhone 4S when it arrives on September 21st. Pre-orders for the device will begin on September 14th.

The device will cost $199, $299 and $399 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models. It will launch in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and then come to 22 more countries a week later on September 28th. iOS 6 will land a couple days earlier on September 19.

The September 28 roll out will include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Apple took the wraps off its highly-anticipated next-generation iPhone on Wednesday at a media event in San Francisco. The handset features an extended 4-inch screen, an A6 processor and LTE connectivity. It is also the first to use Apple’s new β€œLightning” dock connector, which is 80 percent smaller, reversible and is said to have improved durability.
