The traditional telecoms market is under siege by the likes of Rebtel and Skype, today another company is putting the boot in with the launch of an enhanced PC application and new mobile apps.
Nymgo started out in 2008 and has grown steadily with backing from Intel and Abraaj. The money has been used to upgrade apps and enhance call quality. A welcome aspect to anyone who has suffered drop out and poor quality connections.
Users can now call from iPhone, Android and desktops to cellphone numbers and landlines worldwide at competitive rates and with the latest release the company says that clearer VoIP calls are assured.
“We promise to continue delivering a focused, simple international calling solution that combines both the lowest rates on the market and the highest call quality, no matter where our users are, or to where they might be calling,” said Nymgo CMO Suzie Khattab. “We certainly believe that new app features such as country rate finders and loyalty initiatives like our ‘Hello Points’ will not only make the Nymgo calling experience a frustration-free one compared to other VoIP services, but a more fun and rewarding one altogether.”
Nymgo’s loyalty points system, or ‘Hello Points’, means that callers can get some free credits for their account. Users must have $60 in credit and they get points when they make a purchase or enrol friends. As a reward, when enough points are gathered, they can be turned into extra credits or free SMS.
Current iPhone, Android and PC users can download the app from the App Store, Google Play or Nymgo site. Can Nymgo take on the likes of Skype with quality calling?
