What do you call people who are stretching the limits of their imaginations to engineer a new future? At The Next Web, we went with imagineers.

Produced in partnership with the City of Amsterdam, we want to offer our favorite entrepreneurs and pioneers a platform to share the visions and insights that will shape our future. This is why, each week, we’ll present you with an exclusive episode of Imagineers.

In this fourth episode, we meet the young Dutch tech guru Alexander Klöpping. Alexander first rose to fame as a tech journalist and editor for the popular Dutch talk show De Wereld Draait Door. In 2013, he co-founded  Blendle, an online news platform that aggregates content from a variety of newspapers and magazines and sells them on a pay-per-article basis.

The 💜 of EU tech

The latest rumblings from the EU tech scene, a story from our wise ol' founder Boris, and some questionable AI art. It's free, every week, in your inbox. Sign up now!

Blendle was an instant success in the Netherlands in 2014, and last year started receiving worldwide demand from publishers. See what Klöpping has to say about Blendle, the future of publishing, and why simply creating the “Netflix of journalism” is not enough.

At a mere 29 years of age, Alexander has achieved what most entrepreneurs can only dream of, which is why we’re overjoyed to have him share his insights at TNW Europe in May.
