Created ostensibly to address the “home situation misunderstandings occur most around clutter,” Ikea has come up with new solution. No, not a hybrid cabinet-media center-bookshelf-closet to shove your stuff into. It has instead produced something that takes up a lot less space — emoticons.
Ikea Emoticons is an app, available from the App Store and Google Play Store, that features hand-drawn domestic style scenes and objects that the store hopes will assist in a peaceful dialog among housemates or loved ones. The idea is to create an amicable way to tell loved ones at home to clean up their mess and other strategic messages.
That’s right, home decorators and dwellers can now turn to their trusty furniture store to resolve clutter and perhaps other decidedly domestic disputes. Just install the keyboard on your phone, choose it, and start talking.
