Hulu launches a new online hub for video-game trailers

Hulu launches a new online hub for video-game trailers

Video-streaming service Hulu is placing a little bit more focus on video game trailers from today, via a new dedicated hub, the company announced today.

The Video Games hub is live now, and besides release information around games, you’ll note that it features trailers in HD, game-play demos and even reviews for the latest hits.

The new hub is available on the PC version of Hulu today, but will be rolling out to all Hulu Plus-enabled devices over the next few months. In terms of content, it seems Hulu has a lot coming up too.

“Soon, we’ll showcase the next generation of video games with the release of the Nintendo Wii U, which brings us game fanatics titles such as ‘New Super Mario Bros U,’ ‘Nintendo Land’ and ‘SiNG Party’ to your living room,” says Oscar Rohena Content Partner Manager at Hulu. “Even our favorite mouse Mickey is joining the party with ‘Epic Mickey 2’ and the 3DS title ‘Power of Illusion’.”

Hulu unveiled a new design for its website back in August, to improve content discovery and the viewing experience. The changes included a new ‘browse’ feature to help navigate content, and a curated ‘Staff Picks’ list to highlight some of the gems that are ordinarily glossed over by Hulu-ers.

Now with its new hub for all-things video games, the US streaming service will be looking to focus on what is a potentially huge market.
